5 Things I've Been Loving Lately, Including a Benefit Body Oil Mist, a Veggie-Themed Hand Wash, a Clé de Peau Beauté Lipstick and Bamboo - Makeup and Beauty Blog
1. Benefit Bathina Soft to Touch…Hard to Get ($34 for a 2.5 U.s. fl. oz. bottle)
Ha! This torso oil mist sounds like it was inspired by Tabs. 🙂
The proper noun could be his official slogan, ba-dum dum!
Thanks, thank you! I'll be performing again at 11.
Soft to Touch…Hard to Get is ane of those lovely, girly bottles that looks correct at home on a vanity. With sweet almond, olive and avocado oils, the lightweight formula lightly moisturizes while leaving skin with a slight sheen and a jasmine flower scent.
The bottle has some heft to it (feels similar it's made out of glass…or actually heavy plastic), so when you spray it on clammy pare later on your shower or on your significant other/booty call equally a massage oil, you'll feel super fancy… Just don't driblet information technology on your pes.
Yeah, I speak from experience.
2. Method Gel Mitt Launder Orla Kiely Spring limited Edition in Tomato Vine ($4.49 for a 12 United states of america fl. oz. bottle)
I'm so glad I picked up this bottle of Method Gel Manus Wash in Love apple Vine at Target a few weeks ago. The cute light-green bottle was but sitting there with a sale sticker next to it at the end of the toothpaste aisle.
I needed some hand launder, soooooo of course I unscrewed the cap and gave it a large sniff right there in the shop. (Don't front end! I can't be the just one who's done that earlier.)
DUDE! It really does smell like tomato plant vines. I've got some on my deck right now.
The scent is a little weird at first…but I'm addicted to information technology now. Information technology reminds me of when Demeter was doing cool, unusual scents like Thunderstorm (earlier they went completely off their rocker and started doing perfumes similar Play-Doh and Crayon).
Anyway, I have to run back to Target today, and I'm hoping they'll still have a few more of these express edition scents by Orla Kiely (an Irish style designer) left, non only because I think this one smells corking, but because it too gets my easily squeaky clean without sucking out every ounce of moisture.
If you don't live near a Target, yous tin can too find it online at methodhome.com.
three. Clé de Peau Beauté Extra Rich Lipstick Silk ($40)
Speaking of fancy, if a mysterious benefactor were to offer to fund a leisurely life of lunches and makeup, for the record, I would non say no.
If that were to happen, you'd find me at the Neiman Marcus Rotunda in San Francisco from Mondays through Fridays for tea around tiffin, and then at the Clé de Peau Beauté counter downstairs playing with the polish, silky and indulgent Extra Rich Lipstick Silks ($40) and Actress Rich Lipstick Holders ($25).
They're like MAC Lustre Lipsticks for the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous sect, and they odour like dark-green tea. YUM!
4. The Bamboos
I'one thousand officially obsessed with The Bamboos.
No, not the plant, although I love that besides. 🙂 They're a soul/funk band from Australia. I heard one of their songs, The Wilhem Scream, at DSW last Fri, and that was all it took to get me hooked.
Here are some of their songs (I've been listening to these pretty much nonstop this week)…
5. Bold bib necklaces
Constitute this bold bib necklace by Pam Hiran last month on auction at Anthropologie, and information technology is by far the all-time slice of costume jewelry I've purchased this year.
Information technology goes with everything! I've worn it with a evidently white t-shirt and skinny jeans, an part-friendly gray dress by BCBG, a tank height and shorts, and inevitably, whenever I have it on, someone points information technology out and says something dainty.
I'm convinced that equally far as accessories go, big, assuming necklaces are the style to get. Put one on and BAM! — yous look like you tried.
Unfortunately, this particular slice is no longer available, simply the Pearl Points necklace has a similar vibe. It'southward marked downward from $58 to $19.95. Seriously, if you lot don't get I volition, LOL!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty aficionado,
Karen
